Confused - PH numbers - Amquel bucket test too
I put two litres in a bucket. I was testing the numbers so I could watch what the amquel does. I haven't put any in yet. I am very confused about what I see. Normally the PH is so high out of the tap...

Sometimes I get a way out of line ph reading and I re-do the test and it comes out right. I don't know if I mess up on the number of drops or what. Or, tap water can change. When did the bubbled water...

Sounds like your tap water has changed some. If you're having a drop in pH (which I assume you would want), and raise in ammonia, yuch! I would eventually test your KH and GH again to see what might...

I've been doing some reading and I think bubbling releases CO2, which will raise ph. Injecting CO2 would lower ph. Betty? Here's a link

If the pH out of the tap is 7.8, seems like it's OK to add it straight to the tank without bubbling.

Karrie, weren't you bubbling to bring ph down because of the ammonia? If that test is right, I agree with Ingrid. Why not just use it right out of the tap if ph is mid to high 7's?
